ADDITIONAL FIXES

This section is dedicated to fixes or changes that have happened between patches, essentially things that we can change without a patch. They didn’t feature in the previous patch notes, so we’re adding them here for posterity.

Perseverance is key
We updated the Steam Art asset of HITMAN World of Assassination, and we thank @jeicaMutsorPop for their thoroughness regarding this topic.

First Impression
When launching the WOA Part One, players now correctly start with the ICA Tutorial, instead of “The Sebastian Principle”.

I’m the Upgrade
When World of Assassination Part One Steam players try to access content that they do not own, they are now correctly directed to the relevant “Upgrade Pack”.

Escape Room
We resolved an issue in the Featured Contract “Art Lovers” where players would not be able to Exit.

Sinful
We resolved an issue where Steam - Deluxe Edition owners did not have access to the Seven Deadly Sins collection; they now have access to the collection.

Microsoft Store
We fixed an issue where some PC Microsoft Store players could experience connection or crashes during the last two weeks of February.

Re run galore for Year 4, huh?

They used internal codenames in the notes again. They’ve called Ambrose Island “Dugong” multiple times.

:joy:

I read “Dugong” and my brain immediately knew…

It’s Ambrose Island, for those wondering. It’s certainly a ROCKY situation that this error slipped through the cracks.

Huh, that’s all very well and good, but literally none of those fixes are things that I noticed or have seen anyone talking about on here. Did anything we’ve been reporting on for a while actually get fixed? Doesn’t seem like it. Once again a disappointing update where I’m scrolling through hoping to see fixes to long-known concerns and instead seeing fixes to things that I had no idea were even happening, much less broken.

About fucking time. Should’ve happened a VERY long time ago.

I’ve spotted one small thing I reported - the letterbox effect disappearing on certain shots in the Haven opening cutscene.

As patches go, this is a nice QOL-focused update that, while underwhelming in some ways, is still quite good to have. Lots of locations got adjusted here, so i’m glad that’s still happening.

I wonder if the freelancer mirror got changed so the LOD’s are shown correctly…

That was the only thing I was aware of, and I wasn’t even sure if it’s a bug or not.

But yes, even though it’s a long list of fixes, there are lots of long-standing issues unfortunately left unaddressed yet again. Seeing as the next update probably won’t come until in a few months, I guess we need to highlight those issues more vigorously.

That’s… not a name.
So make it one.

The list of Freelancer fixes is desperately small and pretty much everything else is just minor graphical / movement glitch fixes

Still, it’s nice to see we’ll be getting rid of Berlin’s Invisible Boy.

I don’t have time to read this yet as I am very busy today did they mention the one handed smgs or starting suits on carpathean mountains

My favorite things from the patch:

Clear Vision
The PlayStation 5 save file thumbnails appear less dark. (This was something I reported)

Making your list
We have now added the possibility to save the “Challenge Filters”, which allows players to easily locate the challenges they have yet to complete or the ones that have rewards.

This was something possible in 2016 and 2 so it’s good that they finally brought it back! Now if only they would bring back the ability to save a default loadout for each location!

While most of the other bugs are visual related, it’s nice that they’re still doing a lot to support the game. No mention if the “Saving” bug on PS5 is fixed or if Hokkaido’s map is fixed though.

What a giant list of random fixes to graphical issues I’ve never noticed. While fixes are always appreciated, there are in my mind much more glaring QOL changes that need making.

This is probably the only bug from this list I’ve encountered. Rather, if I’ve encountered any of the other ones, they’re so inconsequential that I may not have noticed.

I’m all for graphical and lighting fixes, considering how weirdly difficult it is to see parts of this game. I hope I can notice and appreciate the work that went in to fixing these instances.
